34.2m Motor Catamaran Repurposing

Repurposing is a great way of giving a vessel a new lease on life. ChapmanAMD has been commissioned to develop options for the reactivation of the a 34.2m Sydney ferry for service on the Brisbane River and Moreton Bay.

These option includes service as:

a reconditioned ferry, offering new and reactivated routes from Brisbane CBD to destinations in Moreton Bay;
an events vessel, offering a floating venue for hosting corporate and private events;
an excursion vessel, offering tourist and sightseeing trips to the many historic sights and landmarks of Moreton Bay;
a luxury mini cruise vessel offering 3-5 night cruises in Moreton Bay, to the South Moreton Islands and the Gold Coast Broadwater.

14.5m Sailing Catamaran

Hull Boats commissioned ChapmanAMD to develop their next generation of aluminium sailing catamarans.

The HM MkII sailing cat is a balance between excellent performance and the comforts of a luxury cruise boat. Based on the tried and tested hull design by Tim Mumby, the MKII updated styling retains the recognisable lines of the original model, while offering the comforts afforded by contemporary materials. Hull Boats have successfully delivered a number of the original 14.5m Cyber’s under license, putting us in a unique position to evolve the original design.

The MkII is fully customisable to an individual owner’s requirements:
A number of General Arrangment configurations is possible: the vessel is able to accommodate up to four cabins and three heads, and the galley may be located on the main or lower deck, to name just a few options. For further customisation, our marine designer is standing by to evaluate untested special modifications to ensure predictable performance and stability;
Two standard interior fittings and finishes palettes are available to choose from. However, our architect is at hand to develop fully customised interiors with owners;
In addition to conventional diesel motors, Hull Boats have successfully fitted fully electric propulsion motors to these vessels. Accompanying diesel generator and/or photovoltaic panel options are available...

About the yard:
Hull Boats are constructed at the Hervey Bay yard of brothers Jon and Kris Hull. With nearly 45 years of aluminium boat building experience between them, they have been involved in the delivery of over 50 newbuilds and numerous refits, ranging from commercial work boats to luxury catamarans of up to 24m.
